More on websites

EVOKE is a website design studio in Vadodara and Mumbai that designs and builds every site around its brand, with immersive 3D and motion where they add meaning, and fast on a phone. It works with D2C, hospitality and product brands in India and abroad, and quotes every site after one call rather than from a price list.

What a site from EVOKE is

A site built for one brand, from a blank file. Not a theme with the colours changed, not a page builder: the layout, the type, the motion and the code are made for what the brand has to say. Where a 3D object or a piece of film says it better than a paragraph, it is built in; where it would only slow the page down, it is left out. Every site is designed on the phone first, because that is where most people will meet it.

What it includes

Design, writing, build and launch, by the same hands. That means the structure of the pages, the words on them, the pictures and film if they are needed, the code, the hosting setup and the hand-over. Search engines and AI assistants are considered from the first page plan, so the site is easy to find and easy to understand. You own the domain and the code.

Projects

The projects on this site include the websites Aaryaman designed and built through EVOKE for Break of Dawn and Gather in Mumbai, his ongoing work on Reckon Diagnostics' website in Vadodara, the KP Studios portfolio with its 3D wordmark, and Hýdor, his personal hotel concept set in Santorini. Each has its own page and its own room on the home page, with the live site one click away.

How it goes

One call, where you say what the site has to do. A written scope and a number before anything starts. Real screens, not moodboards, so you see the direction before there is code. Then the build, launch, and the keys handed over: no hostage domains.

What it costs

There is no price list on purpose. A site with a custom 3D hero and a film is a different job from a small brochure site, and quoting either blind would be a guess. The page on what a website costs explains what moves the number; the call gives you one in writing.

Do you build websites for clients outside Mumbai?

Yes. EVOKE is based in Vadodara and Mumbai and takes on clients across India and internationally; calls are booked in your hour.

Do you use WordPress, Webflow or templates?

No. Every site is designed and built for its brand, with immersive 3D and motion where they add meaning. That is why the work looks like itself rather than like a theme.

Can you build a 3D website?

Yes. This site opens as an immersive 3D experience, and KP Studios opens on an interactive 3D wordmark. 3D is used where it says something, and kept fast on a phone.

Who owns the site when it is done?

You do: the domain, the code and the content. Launch includes the hand-over.

More on brand

EVOKE is a brand identity design studio in Vadodara and Mumbai. It designs the wordmark, colour, type and the system they hang off for D2C, hospitality and product brands, and usually goes on to build the website and the film, so the brand is made once and used everywhere.

What brand identity means here

The look and the voice, and the rules that keep both steady. A wordmark that works at the size of a favicon and the size of a wall. A colour that is yours. Type chosen for how the brand speaks, not for what is fashionable. And the guidelines that let anyone who touches the brand later keep it whole.

Why it is usually the better way round

A site built on a brand that already knows what it is comes out faster and holds together. When the identity and the site are made by the same hands, nothing is lost in the hand-off: the motion on the site belongs to the brand, and the film shot later matches the wordmark. That is the reason EVOKE does all four things rather than one.

Who it is for

Founders and marketing leads at D2C brands, hospitality brands (a room, a hotel, a restaurant), studios and clinics that are ready to invest in a brand people remember, not a logo to get past. Companies that would rather have one studio accountable for the whole thing than three agencies to keep in step.

How it goes

Direction first: before anything gets made, we agree on what it is for. Then the identity, presented as real applications rather than a logo on a white page. Then, if you want it, the site and the film, built from the same system.

Can you do the brand as well as the website?

Yes, and it is usually the better way round: wordmark, colour, type and the system they hang off, then a site that already knows what it is.

Do you only work with D2C brands?

No. EVOKE works with D2C, hospitality and product brands; the projects on this site run from a plant-based dairy brand and a day-use space to a diagnostics manufacturer, an industrial designer's portfolio and a personal hotel concept.

What do I get at the end?

The wordmark and mark in every format you will need, the colour and type system, and guidelines that let your team and any future agency use the brand correctly.

More on film

EVOKE is a motion design studio in Vadodara and Mumbai that produces brand films, campaign stills, social cutdowns and the motion inside websites, all in-house. Because the brand, the site and the film are directed together, the motion belongs to the brand instead of fighting it.

What motion means here

Four things. A brand film that says what the brand is for in under a minute. Campaign stills that carry the same light and the same world. Social cutdowns cut from the film for the formats you actually post. And the motion inside the website itself: the way a page arrives, the way a product turns, the light that moves when you do.

Why in-house

When the film is briefed out to a production house, it comes back in the production house's style, and the site has to be bent to fit it. When it is made by the studio that designed the brand and the site, it is shot in the brand's light, cut to the site's rhythm and delivered in the formats the site needs. The first film usually rides inside a site build for that reason.

Where you can see it

This site. The hero is a 3D scene that answers the pointer, the water under the page ripples where you move, and every project opens in a lit room. The motion on the project sites is quieter: Hýdor, a personal concept, fills with sea as you scroll, and the KP Studios wordmark scatters into particles.

How it goes

A call about what the film has to do. A treatment, so you see the idea before a camera moves. Then the shoot or the build, the edit, and the cutdowns, delivered with the site or on their own.

Do you make the film and photography too?

Yes. Campaign film and stills are produced in-house rather than briefed out, so the motion belongs to the brand instead of fighting it.

Can I get just a film, without a website?

Yes. Most films are made alongside a site, because that is where they work hardest, but a film or a set of stills can be a project on its own.

Do you do animation and 3D?

Yes, where it says something. Interactive 3D is part of the experience on this site and on KP Studios.

More on 3d

EVOKE is a studio in Vadodara and Mumbai that designs and builds 3D websites: interactive, real-time 3D rather than videos of 3D. This homepage and the KP Studios portfolio both open on one, and both stay fast on a phone.

What is a 3D website?

A page with a real three-dimensional scene in it, one the visitor can move and explore, known as real-time 3D, or WebGL 3D. Because it responds rather than plays back, it answers the pointer, follows the scroll and stays sharp at any size.

Do 3D websites hurt SEO or speed?

Only when the words are locked inside the 3D and the page waits for it to load; Google counts page experience, including Core Web Vitals, in ranking. On an EVOKE site the words stay real text and arrive first, and the 3D joins them.

Where 3D earns its place

When it shows what a photograph cannot: the shape of a product, the way a room feels to walk into, the idea behind a name. Anything less and a picture does it better, which is what the first call settles.

Can you build a 3D website in India?

Yes. EVOKE builds 3D websites from Vadodara and Mumbai for clients in India and abroad. This homepage and the KP Studios portfolio both open on interactive, real-time 3D.

When is a 3D website worth it?

When the 3D says something the brand needs said: the shape of a product, the feel of a place, the idea behind a name. That is what the first call settles, before anything is built.

Is a 3D website bad for SEO?

Not if it is built properly: the words stay real, readable text, and the 3D never blocks the page. Built that way, a 3D site can be as quick to read as any other.

How much does a 3D website cost?

It is quoted after one call, because one 3D hero on a small site and a site that is a 3D world are different jobs. You get the number in writing before anything starts.

What happens on a phone that cannot run the 3D?

The page and its words always work, and a still image of the scene takes its place.

05Direction

Before anything gets made, we agree on what it is for.

  • Before the makingwhat it is for
  • Said plainlyso everyone can hold it
  • Written downand agreed first

Shown on Reckon

More on direction

Direction is the first of the four things EVOKE does: the idea, the tone and what people should feel when they see the brand, agreed in writing before the identity, the website or the film is made. It covers a survey of where the brand stands, positioning, messaging and a roadmap.

What direction is

The thinking that everything else hangs off. Who the brand is for, what it is against, what it should make people feel, and what the site and the film therefore have to do. Written down, short, and agreed before a single visual exists, so that every decision after it has something to be measured against.

The four parts

Survey: where the brand stands now, what the competitors say, what the customers think. Positioning: the one thing the brand is, said plainly. Messaging: the lines the brand will actually use, in its own voice. Roadmap: the order things get made in, and why.

Why it comes first

A site designed without direction is a set of tasteful guesses. A film shot without it is footage. The reason a brand, a site and a film from EVOKE feel like one thing is that they were made to the same page, and that page is direction.

How it goes

A call. A short written survey of the brand as it stands. A positioning and messaging document you can argue with. Then the roadmap, and the work.

Do I need direction if I only want a website?

The first call does the essential part of it for free: what the site is for. A full direction piece is for brands that are being made or remade, not for every site.

Is this the same as brand strategy?

Close. Direction covers positioning and messaging, which is what most people mean by brand strategy, and adds the tone and the feeling, which is what a film and a site need.
